Hello! My name is Katie.

For over 10 years, I have worked in various therapeutic settings, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to my practice. I hold a BA in Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, an MA in Educational (School) Counselling, and a teaching diploma. My international experience includes working at a Church of Scotland School, where I established the counseling role and department for children aged 4-18 years. In this role, I collaborated with parents, staff, social services, and the police, providing both long and short-term therapy, group therapy, career guidance, and whole-class support sessions.

My background in drama and applied theatre has led me to use creative methods in my work with young people. I have completed extensive courses for personal development and am highly sensitive to diversity, different cultures, and values. With 12 years of experience working within refugee communities, I am confident and knowledgeable in navigating diverse environments. My approach focuses on creating empathetic, respectful, and trusting relationships with young people, maintaining transparency with clients, parents, and staff in all aspects of my work.
